From the Jobsite to Innovation – Our Story
After more than 20 years in heavy highway construction, Earl Koch saw the need for a better, more sustainable solution to temporary construction joints. In 1998, he began developing what would become a groundbreaking product line.
In 2000, Earl and Marsha Koch founded EZ Road Inc., and by 2001, they launched their first product — TempRamps, made from recycled materials and built to be reused.
In 2002, TempRamps earned IDOT approval, solidifying their place in the industry. In 2016, the plastic TempRamps also received IDOT approval.
In 2021, the company was purchased by Kelly (Koch) Baer and rebranded as EZ Road Products LLC. Kelly brought fresh leadership and a continued commitment to innovation. In April 2025, she achieved WBENC Certification, officially making the company a certified woman-owned business.
WBENC Certification
EZ Road Products is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) — the nation’s leading certifier of women-owned businesses!
